A user confirmed that they signed up to Vome, but why can't I see them from my admin portal?
There are many organizations that use Vome to manage their volunteer operations. Therefore, if a user signs up to the platform, we need to know which organization this user belongs to.
There are a few strategies for admins to efficiently onboard users to Vome:
1. Invite them through your database
The first step is to create a profile for them and then formally invite them to the platform from their profile or database. Once done, you will see that there is a Pending Invitation that has been sent to them.
The person will be prompted to sign up to Vome to accept the invitation. Once the user signs up to Vome with the same email address that was invited, they will be prompted to accept the invitation. At this point in time, the admin will see that the user has gone from an Offline profile to a Vome User.
If the user has not been formally invited through Vome (i.e. was just told to sign up to the platform but not invited using Vome's feature) or the user signs up to Vome with a different email address which was invited, they will not see any invitation to accept. We tell users in the email and from the sign up screen that they must use the same email.
2. The user submits a form or applies for an opportunity
Using this flow, you can simply add users directly into you database since they have gone through a form process on behalf of your organization.

If you believe you followed these steps but there may be other reasons you cannot see the user from your system, please contact Vome support by providing an email address of the user so that we can further review it for you!
