You can. This changed: a sequence can now be deleted from its own options menu, at any status.
This article used to explain why there was no Delete option and how to ask us to remove a sequence for you. That is no longer how it works. Deleting is now something you do yourself, and the confirmation window shows you what the deletion will cost before you agree to it.

Full instructions: see
How do I delete a sequence? for where Delete lives, what it removes, the option to also delete people's submitted records, and who is allowed to use it.
1. What happens when I delete a sequence?
The sequence and everyone's progress through it are removed. What people submitted stays on their profiles.
A signed waiver, an uploaded file or a completed course belongs to the person and to the item they completed, not to the sequence that asked for it, so deleting the sequence does not take those away. What you lose is the sequence itself, each person's assignment and status, and the completion reporting for that sequence.
There is a separate tick box if you do want those submissions removed as well, for example after testing. It is off by default, and anything a person still needs for another live sequence or an opportunity is kept automatically.
2. Can I still archive instead?
Yes, and in most cases you should.
Archiving retires the sequence without erasing anything. Everyone whose status is Active or Paused is marked Inactive, they are not notified, and the sequence is hidden from their homepage. Unarchive brings it back at any time with all of its steps and history. Statuses stay Inactive until you change them.
Delete is for sequences that should never have existed, such as practice runs, duplicates and tests. Archive everything that was real. If you want a fresh version rather than the end of this one, copy the sequence instead: the copy is created as a draft and you can revise and publish it without touching the live one.
3. Can it be undone?
No. A deleted sequence cannot be recovered, by you or by our team.
Export anything you may need before you delete. If you are not certain, archive it instead and decide later.
Summary
- A sequence can now be deleted by you, at any status, from its options menu.
- By default the sequence and its progress go, and people keep the documents they submitted.
- An optional tick box also removes those submissions, keeping anything still needed elsewhere.
- Archiving remains the reversible choice and is usually the right one.
- Deletion cannot be undone.
