Can I edit profile information for Vome Users in my database?
Once a volunteer claims their profile, an admin cannot modify their profile information. However, you can request that a volunteer update their profile info and see those updates reflected in your database immediately.
Once they're logged in, they go to the left-hand nav bar and click Show Profile
They click on Edit profile
Update profile info and Save
Scenario 1: The volunteer has already submitted a general form (from the Forms module) or an opporutnity-specific registration form that requested specific sensitive profile information.
In this scenario, a volunteer can directly update their sensitive profile information by editing their profile. You will see their updates immeditaely reflected in the database
Scenario 2: The volunteer has not yet submitted a general form response (from the Forms module) or an opporutnity-specific registration form that requested specific sensitive profile information.
In this scenario, an admin must create a Vome Form an enable specific profile information field requests (e.g. Date of Birth, Age, Gender, Address)
- Go to the Forms view from the left-hand nav bar
- Click + New form
- When customizing the form content in the 2nd step, make sure to enable the Profile information fields you want to request that volunteer share with you upon submission of the form
- Once a volunteer submits the form response, you will see the request profile information fields updated in your database
Vome Forms can be used as a method to have volunteers periodically update their profile information upon every new submission that requests the profile info fields.
