Vome allows you to upload cover photos (banners) and logos across several areas of the platform, including your organization site, opportunity pages, form pages, and categories. Each image has specific size recommendations to ensure everything displays correctly.
This article covers all the recommended dimensions, formats, and tips you need to make sure your images look polished and professional.
Below is a summary of the recommended dimensions for each image type on the platform.
Cover photos (wide, rectangular images):
| Image | Recommended Size | Aspect Ratio | Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Form cover photo | 1200 x 400 px | 3:1 | JPG / PNG / WEBP |
| Opportunity cover photo | 1200 x 400 px | 3:1 | JPG / PNG / WEBP |
| Site cover photo | 1200 x 400 px | 3:1 | JPG / PNG / WEBP |
| Category cover photo | 1200 x 400 px | 3:1 | JPG / PNG / WEBP |
Logos (circle images):
| Image | Recommended Size | Aspect Ratio | Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Form logo (circle) | 400 x 400 px | 1:1 | PNG or JPG |
| Opportunity logo (circle) | 400 x 400 px | 1:1 | PNG or JPG |
| Site logo (circle) | 400 x 400 px | 1:1 | PNG or JPG |
| Category logo (circle) | 400 x 400 px | 1:1 | PNG or JPG |
Keep all files under approximately 1 MB each for optimal performance.
Cover photos are displayed as wide, rectangular images at the top of their respective pages. However, there is an important difference in how they render depending on where they appear.
Form, Site, and Category cover photos use a "cover" fill mode. This means the image fills the entire banner area and may crop the edges to fit. To get the best result, keep the focal point of your image centered and avoid placing important content (such as text or logos) near the edges, as those areas may be cut off on different screen sizes.
Opportunity cover photos use a "contain" fill mode. This means the entire image is displayed without any cropping. If the image does not match the 3:1 aspect ratio, you may see whitespace bars on the sides or top and bottom of the image. To avoid this, make sure your opportunity cover photo follows the recommended 3:1 ratio (1200 x 400 px).
All circle logos across the platform are displayed as a circular crop of your uploaded image.
Site logos and Category logos are rendered at 158 x 158 px on screen. Form logos and Opportunity logos are rendered slightly smaller, between 107 and 115 px. Uploading your logo at 400 x 400 px ensures it remains sharp on high-resolution (retina) displays across all of these placements.
For cover photos: JPG, PNG, and WEBP formats are all accepted.
For circle logos: PNG or JPG are recommended. PNG is a good choice if your logo includes transparency.
If your image does not match the recommended aspect ratio:
For form, site, and category cover photos, the image will still display, but the edges may be cropped more aggressively. Important details near the borders of the image could be cut off.
For opportunity cover photos, the image will be shown in full without cropping, but whitespace may appear around it if the proportions do not match.
For logos, a non-square image will be cropped into a circle, which may cut off parts of your design unexpectedly.
To avoid these issues, always prepare your images at the recommended sizes before uploading.
Use the 3:1 aspect ratio (1200 x 400 px) for all cover photos.
Use a square image (400 x 400 px) for all logos.
Center important content in your cover photos, especially for form, site, and category pages where edges may be cropped.
For opportunity cover photos specifically, match the 3:1 ratio as closely as possible to avoid whitespace.
Keep file sizes under 1 MB for fast loading.
Use JPG for photographs and PNG for graphics or logos that require transparency.
