Vome can create and run a chat on its own for each category, opportunity, shift, group, and site. Every chat keeps its own member list up to date, adding and removing people automatically as their status changes, so you never have to build or maintain the roster by hand.
They are chats that Vome creates and maintains for you. When you enable them for a part of your program, Vome opens a chat and keeps its membership in sync with that item. As people are approved, assigned, or removed, they are added to or removed from the chat automatically.
Five types: Sites, Categories, Opportunities, Shifts, and Groups.
Go to the Chats page, click the gear icon (Chat settings), and open Auto-generated chats. You will see a card for each of the five types. Each card gives you the same controls:
Sites, categories, and groups are off by default, so you choose when to turn them on. Opportunity and shift chats are on by default and are created when an opportunity is published. That is why the Opportunities and Shifts cards have no Auto-create for new switch, only Enable all, Disable all, and Manage. Shift chats are set per opportunity and apply to all of that opportunity's shifts.
When you create or edit the item, look for the Communication section and turn on the chat toggle. The label matches the item you are editing:
Once the toggle is on, an Announcements only (admins post) sub-toggle appears. If the item already has a chat, an Open chat link also shows so you can jump straight in.
No. Membership is kept in sync for you. People are added when they qualify and removed when they no longer do.
Opportunity and shift chats are on by default, so they are created automatically when an opportunity is published. You can turn them off from the Opportunities or Shifts card in Auto-generated chats.
