You can choose whether one-on-one messaging is allowed between people in your organization.

1. Where do I find these controls?

Go to the Chats page, click the gear icon (Chat settings), and open Direct messages.

2. What can I control?

• Allow direct messages between users and admins. On by default. Turn it off and users and admins can no longer start or send one-on-one messages to each other.
• Allow direct messages between admins. On by default. Turn it off and admins can no longer start or send one-on-one messages to one another.

3. Why can a member not start a direct message with me?

Direct messages between users and admins have been turned off for your organization. Turn the setting back on to allow them.
