How to Archive or Copy a Sequence on Vome

Archiving a Sequence

Archiving a sequence removes it from active use. Before archiving, it is important to understand the consequences:

  • All profiles in the sequence who are currently Active or Paused will be marked as Inactive.
  • Profiles are moved to Inactive silently. They will not receive any notification that their status has changed.
  • The sequence will be hidden from users' homepages.
  • The sequence will move to the Archived tab in your Sequences list and will no longer appear in the active or draft views.

Archiving is appropriate when a sequence is no longer needed and you want to preserve the data without keeping it active. If you need to deactivate only specific users rather than the entire sequence, consider changing individual profile statuses instead.

To archive a sequence, open the sequence list, click the options menu on the sequence card, and select Archive.

Copying a Sequence

You can create a duplicate of any existing sequence. The copy includes all steps and settings from the original.

This is useful when:

  • You want to create a variation of an existing sequence for a different program or role.
  • You want to test changes without modifying a live sequence.
  • You want to use a well-built sequence as a starting point for a new one.

To copy a sequence, open the sequence list, click the options menu on the sequence card, and select Copy Sequence. The duplicate will be created as a draft, allowing you to review and adjust it before publishing.
