Your schedule opens the same way every time you come back to it: the same layout, the same date range, the same first day of the week, and the same amount of detail on each shift. All of that is yours to set, and it lives in one place.
This article covers where those settings are, what each one does, and how to quieten the schedule down if it shows you more than you need.

Go to Schedule, open Actions at the top right, and under Settings choose Change default layout.
There is a shortcut too. When you switch your schedule to a different layout or range, a Save as default layout pill appears beside the view selector. Clicking it saves what you are currently looking at.
The popup has five sections:
Pick what you want and click Save. The next time you open your schedule it loads exactly that way.
In the Layout section, choose List, Calendar or Board. Each one has a short description under its name so you can tell them apart.
List is the default. Calendar lays your shifts out on a monthly or weekly grid. Board turns the schedule into a time slot by day grid and shows who is booked inside each cell.
Yes. Set Week starts on to Monday and save. Your Week and Month views then both begin on Monday, and so do the date ranges your schedule reports.
It decides whether the people booked onto a shift are listed as soon as the schedule loads, instead of you opening each shift to see them.
The switch is saved separately for each layout, because the three layouts show attendees in different places. The description under the switch tells you which layout you are currently setting, so select your layout first and then set the switch.
The What your schedule shows section has three switches:
Switch off whichever you do not want. Each one applies to your account everywhere your schedule appears, so you only have to decide once.
Yes. Leave Summary tiles switched on and a checklist appears underneath it. Untick any tile you would rather not see, and leave the rest ticked:
Tiles that count something waiting on you only appear when there is something in them, so a quiet week already shows fewer tiles than a busy one.

They follow your account across the schedule surfaces in the portal, not just the page you set them on. That includes your main Schedule, the schedule cards on your dashboard, the Schedule tab on an opportunity, and an individual profile's own schedule.
No. Two of those tiles double as filters, and the same filters are always available in the left filter pane on your schedule. Hiding a tile removes the tile, not the filter, and anything you already have filtered can still be cleared from the pane.
One popup, reached from Actions and Change default layout, decides how your schedule opens and how much it shows you. It is per admin, so you can set your schedule up the way you work without affecting anyone else on your team.
