How do I create Offline Volunteer profiles in the database?
1. Go to your
Database from the left-hand navigation
2. Click on
Create Profiles on the top right of Database view
3. You will have the choice to
Add a Volunteer or
Mass Import (via excel)
You must add at least a
first name,
last name and
email address.
If the volunteer does not have an email address, you still must provide an entry for the email field. For example, you may enter "vol_email1@gmail.com" and it would allow you to create the profile. Vome does not validate whether it is a real email address or not, however, it is just required that the email format be entered correctly.
4. You can assign tags, opportunities and shifts to volunteers from their profiles.
If the volunteer ever decides to register to Vome and accepts the invitation to join your organization or applies to an opportunity, their profiles will be automatically merged (i.e. they will no longer be labelled as an Offline volunteer and there will be a single entry for the volunteer labelled as Vome User),
allowing volunteers to see their prior bookings and hours logged! You will not have duplicates of these volunteer records.
