Overview
You can delete your own Vome account yourself, from Settings. It takes about a minute, and it cannot be undone.
If you are an administrator and you also want your organization's page removed, that is a separate request. See question 3.
1. How do I delete my account?
- Sign in at www.vomevolunteer.com/login.
- Click Settings in the left-hand navigation.
- Scroll to the bottom of the settings panel and click Delete my account.
- Read the warning, then type the code shown on screen into the box underneath it. It is seven characters and it has to match exactly, which is deliberate: it stops an accidental click from erasing your account.
- Click Delete. If you change your mind at this point, click Exit instead and nothing happens.
Deleting your account erases all of your saved profile information, your opportunity and shift assignments, your logged hours and everything else tied to your profile, at every organization you belong to. This cannot be undone, and our team cannot bring a deleted account back.
2. I only want to stop hearing from one organization
Then do not delete your account. There are two lighter options, and both keep your history.
- Your settings let you unsubscribe from organization emails, and from all Vome notifications, without deleting anything.
- Ask the organization to archive your profile. That removes you from their active lists and unassigns you from their opportunities, while your record and your hours stay intact.
Deleting your account is the right move only when you want to leave Vome entirely.
3. I am an administrator. Can I delete my profile and my organization's page?
Not from Settings. Ask our team to do it.
The fastest route is to
submit a ticket, telling us the email address you want removed and whether the organization's page should go too. You can also email us at
support@vomevolunteer.zohodesk.com from the address you want deleted. Either way we may follow up with a question or two to verify your identity. Most requests are handled quickly, but allow up to
14 business days.
