How Do I Go Back to a Previous Step in My Sequence?

In some sequences, you may have the option to go back to a previous step. This depends on whether your organization has enabled this option for that specific step.

When the Option Is Available

If the Go Back option is available, you will see a button at the bottom of your current step allowing you to return to the previous step. If you do not see this button, the option has not been enabled for your current step and you will need to contact your organization's coordinator if you need to revisit something.

What Happens When You Go Back

When you choose to go back, keep in mind the following:

  • Your current step's status will not be updated. The step will remain in its current state.
  • The Sequence Coordinator will be notified that you have moved back to a previous step.

Going back does not undo any work you have already completed on prior steps. It simply moves you back so you can review or take action on an earlier step.

When to Use This

Use the Go Back option if you need to correct or update something on a previous step, such as re-uploading a document or revisiting an instruction before continuing. Once you are ready to move forward again, you can proceed through your steps normally.
