How do I organize sequences into folders on Vome?
Organizing Sequences into Folders on Vome
Folders allow you to group related sequences together in your Sequences list, making it easier to manage large numbers of sequences across different programs, departments, or seasons.
Creating a Folder
From the Sequences list, you can create a new folder and give it a name that reflects the group of sequences it will contain. Examples include folders like Onboarding, Training, Seasonal Programs, or specific department names.
Moving a Sequence into a Folder
You can assign a sequence to a folder either when creating the sequence or by using the Add to Folder option from the sequence card menu. A sequence can only be in one folder at a time.
When creating a new sequence, a folder dropdown is available in the Details sidebar. If no folder is selected, the sequence will be placed in the Default folder.
What Happens When You Delete a Folder
Deleting a folder does not delete the sequences inside it. All sequences that were in the deleted folder are automatically moved to the Default folder. You can then reassign them to another folder if needed.
Tips for Folder Organization
- Group sequences by program or intake season (e.g., Summer 2025 Onboarding) to keep things manageable as your library grows.
- Use a dedicated folder for draft or template sequences you are not actively using.
- The Default folder acts as a catch-all. Over time, keep it clean by moving sequences into named folders.
