Vome has built-in messaging so your team and the people you work with can talk without leaving the platform.
There are five kinds of chat. The useful split is not what they are called, it is who creates them: two are created by Vome automatically, three you create yourself.

Opportunity and shift chats are optional. An administrator decides whether to enable them.
A chatroom is created for every opportunity. Membership then looks after itself:
Both administrators and members can mute it for themselves without affecting anyone else.
The same pattern, one level down. A chatroom is created for every shift.
Again, anyone can mute it for themselves.
This is the one to use for day-of logistics, since its membership is exactly the people who will actually be there.
A single chat containing every active member of your organization, kept current as profiles change. Archived and offline profiles are excluded automatically.
Turn it on from the Chats page: click the gear icon for chat settings, open Database-wide chat, and enable it. A sub-toggle, Only admins can send messages, turns it into a read-only announcement channel.
Click the Chat icon in the top navigation. That is everything you belong to, in one place.
To jump straight to a shift chat, open your Schedule, click the shift, and use the chat icon in the top bar of the shift.
