How do I use chats on Vome?
Vome has a built-in instant messaging platform designed to simplify communication between groups of volunteers and administrators.
The types of chats we offer :
1. Direct 1-1 chats
2. Custom group chats (only administrators can create custom group chats)
3. Opportunity-level chats
For every opportunity created on Vome, a chatroom will be created. Once a volunteer becomes approved for the opportunity, they will be automatically added to the chat. Once a volunteer is removed from the opportunity, they will be removed from the chatroom. Both volunteers and administrators can mute the chat for themselves.
4. Shift-level chats
For every shift created on Vome, a chatroom will be created. Once a volunteer is booked for the shift, they will be automatically added to the chat. Once a volunteer is no longer attending a shift, they will be removed from the chatroom. Both volunteers and administrators can mute the chat.
How do I access chats?
To access chats, on the top-navigation, simply click the Chat icon.
To access shift-level chats, you can navigate to your schedule, click on the shift, and you will see a chat icon appear on the top bar.
