Vome has four plans: Recruit, Pro, Enterprise and Ultimate. Pro and Enterprise are the two most organizations weigh against each other, so this article focuses on those two and shows where Recruit and Ultimate sit on either side of them. In short, Pro covers scheduling, hour tracking and reporting. Enterprise adds the Courses module, custom awards, the ability to create your own database fields, admin roles and permissions, multi-site segmentation and two-factor authentication.
You can see every feature side by side on the Vome Plans page.
1. What are the four plans?
Each plan includes everything in the plan before it.
- Recruit is free forever. It is for recruiters who need to collect application forms and run an onboarding process. It includes 1 application form, 1 onboarding sequence, 40 default database fields, and hour tracking through hour claims that users submit themselves.
- Pro is for coordinators who need to manage scheduling, hour tracking and reports.
- Enterprise is for management teams who need custom database fields, admin role provisioning and built-in training.
- Ultimate is for teams who need to connect Vome to other applications and add single sign-on.
2. What does each plan cost?
Pricing is per admin seat, per month.
- Pro: USD $35 or CAD $45 per seat, billed annually. USD $45 or CAD $55 per seat, billed monthly.
- Enterprise: USD $55 or CAD $65 per seat, billed annually only, with a minimum of 3 seats.
- Ultimate, for reference: USD $65 or CAD $80 per seat, billed annually only, with a minimum of 5 seats.
Two points matter here more than the headline number.
- Pro is the highest plan that offers monthly billing. Enterprise and Ultimate are annual only, so moving up to Enterprise also means committing to a year and to at least 3 seats.
- You are charged per admin seat you activate, not per user. User records and profiles are unlimited on every plan, so growing your user base does not change your bill.
Additional sales tax may apply.
3. What do I already get on Pro?
Pro is a complete scheduling and hour tracking platform, and for many organizations it is the right stopping point. It includes everything in Recruit, plus:
- Unlimited forms and sequences
- Shift management and user reservations, including group reservations
- Advanced hour tracking through the Attendance QR code, the on-site Kiosk, tap-in and GPS options
- Unlimited profile tags and database export
- Advanced mass communication tools, including email lists, group chats and auto-generated shift chatrooms
- Mobile app access with custom and automated notifications, reminders and updates
- Canned reports and analytics with advanced filtering and sorting
- Basic KPI and metric dashboards
- The Sterling Volunteers and Verified First background check integrations, the Google Sheets two-way sync and the Double the Donation matching gifts integration
4. What does Enterprise add?
Enterprise includes everything in Pro. The additions fall into five groups.
Training and courses
- The Courses module, which lets you build training inside Vome with no third-party learning system and no separate login for users
- Course content built from readings, hosted or uploaded video, documents shown in an in-page viewer, and downloadable attachments
- Your own SCORM packages, uploaded and hosted by Vome
- A quiz builder with six question types, automatic or manual grading, randomized question pools and timed quizzes
- Grading modes, pass thresholds, retry rules and progression control
- Courses as a step inside an onboarding sequence, with certification expiry, renewals and reminders
- Course dashboards, grade grids and per-user reports
- The ability to grade any form as a quiz
Database and data
Creating custom database fields is itself an Enterprise capability, not an Enterprise-sized version of something Pro already has. See question 7 below.
- The ability to create custom and dynamic database fields, with no cap on how many
- Importing data into those custom fields
- Mapping form fields to database fields, so information collected on a form lands on the profile automatically
Administration and security
- Custom admin roles and permissions
- Multi-site segmentation. Combined with admin roles, this lets you tailor what each admin sees and manages across locations, sites, branches, departments or operations, so an admin only works with what you give them access to.
- Two-factor authentication (2FA)
- Advanced KPI and metric dashboards, where Pro includes the basic set
Groups and recognition
- Advanced group management, so a reservation can be tied to a named group such as a company, a school or a family, and that group name appears in the schedule view, the kiosk and your reports
- Custom awards in the Recognition module, both rule-based and manual, with award notifications, watcher admins and advanced eligibility scoping
Customer success
- Priority email support, where Pro includes standard email support
- 5 onboarding sessions and 4 account review sessions, where Pro includes 1 of each
- Dedicated account management
Onboarding sessions and account review sessions are capped at 2 hours per week.
5. Which plan do I need for the Courses module?
Enterprise or above.
This is the largest single difference between Pro and Enterprise today, and it is often the reason an organization moves up. If you currently pay for a separate learning system to deliver orientation or training, that cost is worth putting beside the price difference before you decide.
Courses are taken on the web and in the mobile app, and a course can sit inside an onboarding sequence like any other step.
6. Which plan do I need for Groups?
Enterprise or above.
Groups let either administrators or users, depending on your settings, associate a reservation with a named group. If you track corporate partnerships, school groups or recurring community partners, and you need that grouping to show up in reporting, Groups is an Enterprise feature.
7. Which plan do I need to create custom database fields?
Enterprise or above.
This is worth stating plainly, because "unlimited custom database fields" is easy to misread as though Pro gets a smaller allowance of them. It does not get any. Creating custom database fields is an Enterprise capability in the first place, and the unlimited part only describes what happens once you are there.
- On Recruit and Pro you work with Vome's default database fields. Recruit includes 40 of them, and you can organize profiles further with profile tags, which are unlimited from Pro.
- On Enterprise you can create your own database fields, including dynamic field types, and there is no cap on how many you create.
Two other Enterprise features exist only because of this one, which is why they carry the same plan requirement.
- Mapping form fields to database fields. To push an answer from a form onto a profile, the profile field has to exist to receive it, and creating that field is the Enterprise capability. So even though forms themselves are available from Recruit, mapping a form question to a profile field needs Enterprise.
- Importing custom field data. There is nothing to import into until the custom fields exist, so custom field import follows the same rule.
If your reason for considering Enterprise is that you need to collect something specific on a form and have it live on the profile afterwards, that whole path is Enterprise, not just the field count.
8. What about single sign-on and integrations?
Those are on Ultimate, not Enterprise.
This is worth flagging because security and integration needs are sometimes assumed to be part of Enterprise. Enterprise covers two-factor authentication. The following are Ultimate:
- API integration and custom webhooks
- Automations with Zapier and Power Automate
- Native integration with Salesforce
- SAML and Azure SSO for admins
- Technical and operational consulting
Note that the Sterling Volunteers, Verified First, Google Sheets and Double the Donation integrations are all available from Pro, so needing an integration does not automatically mean needing Ultimate.
9. Can I try a plan before I commit?
Yes. Vome includes a 30 day free trial, and each organization gets one.
Once your organization has used its trial, upgrading starts your paid subscription right away and your payment method is charged when you complete your order.
10. How do I compare plans in detail or change my plan?
There are two places to look.
- The Vome Plans page has the full feature comparison, broken down by fundamentals, recruitment, onboarding, courses and training, scheduling, hour tracking, data and reports, communications, recognition, advanced features and customer success.
- Inside Vome, open the Subscription module from the left-hand navigation. Each plan card opens its own feature list, and Compare all plans opens the same full comparison without leaving the platform.
From the Subscription module you can also change plans, switch between annual and monthly billing where the plan allows it, and adjust how many admin seats you are paying for.
Summary: the main things to consider
- Scheduling and hour tracking are Pro. If shifts, reservations, QR and kiosk check-in, reports and analytics are what you need, Pro covers it.
- Training is the big Enterprise addition. The Courses module, with video, documents, SCORM, graded quizzes and certification expiry, starts at Enterprise. Weigh it against what you pay for a separate learning system today.
- Creating custom database fields at all is Enterprise. Not just having unlimited ones. Recruit and Pro use the default fields only. Because form-to-profile field mapping and custom field import both need a custom field to exist first, they are Enterprise for the same reason.
- Custom admin roles, multi-site segmentation and 2FA are Enterprise. These are the administrative controls larger teams usually move up for.
- Groups and custom awards are Enterprise. If you report on corporate, school or community group participation, or you want rule-based awards, plan for Enterprise.
- Integrations and SSO are Ultimate, not Enterprise. API access, webhooks, Zapier, Power Automate, Salesforce and SAML or Azure SSO sit above Enterprise. Sterling Volunteers, Verified First, Google Sheets and Double the Donation are available from Pro.
- Billing shape can matter as much as price. Pro is the last plan with a monthly option. Enterprise is annual only and starts at 3 seats, and Ultimate is annual only and starts at 5 seats.
- You pay per admin seat, never per user. User records and profiles are unlimited on every plan, so your bill follows your admin team, not your user base.
- Support scales with the plan. Pro gets standard email support with 1 onboarding session and 1 account review session. Enterprise gets priority email support, 5 onboarding sessions, 4 account review sessions and a dedicated account manager.
