Impact Value is the dollar equivalent of the time people have donated to your organization.
It is calculated per opportunity: each opportunity has its own hourly impact value rate, which is multiplied by the hours logged against that opportunity, and the results are added together.
Under Manage impact value, available from the side panel on your Opportunities page and on your People page.
There you can set the hourly rate for each opportunity individually, or use Update all to apply one rate across every opportunity at once. The default is 30.00 per hour, which is a starting point rather than a recommendation.
Setting rates per opportunity is the point of the feature. Specialist work such as a nurse or a qualified trades role is genuinely worth more per hour than general event help, and a single blended rate hides that.
Yes. Impact Value Rate for Hours Logged (Off-Vome) is set separately, and applies to hours added manually to profiles in your database.
That keeps historical hours from before you joined Vome from being valued at today's rates unless you want them to be.
Almost always because the Show impact value to admins toggle is off.
Note that this setting applies to all admins across your portal, not just to you. Turning it off hides the metric for everyone on the admin side, so check with whoever manages your settings before changing it.
Yes, if you turn on Users can see their impact value from their homepage. It is a separate toggle from the admin one.
Many organizations leave this on deliberately, because showing somebody the dollar value of the time they gave is a stronger thank you than an hours total.
Because the card is not included on the free plan. The label still shows, without a figure.
