The File Upload step asks a user to send you a document. You can also attach a file for them to download first, complete, and upload back onto the same step. Use it when what you need is a copy of something that lives outside Vome, such as a certificate, a licence, or a page a third party has signed.
It is a step whose requirement is a file. You give it a title and a description saying what you need, and the user attaches a file to the step from their phone or computer. The file lands on that user's step, where you and the sequence coordinators and watchers can open it.
Open Sequences in the left-hand navigation and open the sequence you are building.
Click + Add a step.
Choose File uploads.
Pick an entry under ADD A PREVIOUSLY SAVED ENTRY, or click New to create one.
Enter the title and description, attach a file if you want the user to download one, then save.

Supply & Collect is the option to attach a file for users to download, fill out and then upload a completed version. The step then shows a download button next to the upload button.
Keep it for documents that genuinely have to be completed outside Vome: one a third party has to sign, a paper copy the user brings back, or a file they produce themselves.

The user opens the step and sees the title, the description, a download button if you attached a file, and a Take action button for uploading theirs.
One file per step. If you need several documents, either add a step for each one, or ask in the description for a single ZIP file containing them all.
The user is Pending until they upload. Uploading moves them to Uploaded, and you mark the step Complete once you have checked the file.
If you do not need to review each file, the step can skip the Uploaded status and complete automatically the moment a file arrives. That setting lives in the step's own settings.
The document should be filled in and signed inside Vome: use Fillable PDF.
You want the answers back as data rather than as a file: use Fillable form.
Nothing has to be collected and the user only needs to confirm they did something: use Custom, Training, Orientation or Interview.
File Upload collects one file per step from the user.
Supply & Collect attaches a file for them to download, complete and upload back.
Statuses run Pending, then Uploaded, then Complete, and Uploaded can be skipped.
For several documents, use one step each or ask for a single ZIP file.
Entries are reusable, and editing one affects every sequence that uses it.
