What is the QR code used for?

If you want to allow volunteers to self check-in/out of their shifts in order to seamlessly log their hours, print the the QR code and display it to attendees at your on-site locations.

There must be 3 conditions that apply for a volunteer to scan the QR code to check-in/out of their shift:
  1. They must be an active Vome User
  2. They must be reserved for a shift
  3. They must have the Vome app downloaded on their smartphone and must be logged in to their Vome account.

If all those conditions are apply, the volunteer will be able scan the QR code using the mobile app in order to check-in, and they will scan it again before they leave in order to check-out. This process will automatically tabulate and approve the number of hours for the volunteer.

Info
You can print out as many copies of the QR code as you need and place the printouts at all of your locations. This could be instead of or in addition to your kiosk!
The shift coordinator will receive a push notification when a volunteer checks-in or out of a shift. If the admin does not want to be notified, they can disable the notification from their Settings page.
