The Impact Report is the printable side of recognition on Vome. Where an award is a badge inside the platform, the Impact Report is a certificate of involvement: a one page document, carrying your organization's logo and name, that summarizes everything a person did with you. Opportunities, completed shifts, logged hours and total impact value.
Both administrators and users can generate one, but they are not the same document. Only an administrator can sign it.
The layout is the same in both versions:
The administrator version adds a Signed by name, the signature image, the date signed, and an optional note.
From the person's profile, not from the Reports module.
Changing the date range is not cosmetic. It decides which Opportunities, shifts and logged hours are counted, so set it before you export rather than after.
Exporting as an administrator is gated behind a signature. When you click Export you are shown a prompt titled Add your signature before export, asking you to provide your digital signature. You draw it, and you can clear it and redo it if it comes out badly. You cannot skip this: exporting without a signature returns an error asking you to add one.
You can also add an optional Note to the report, which is where a reference comment belongs, for example a line confirming the person's reliability or the context of their service.
Then choose Sign and export. The exported PDF carries your name, your signature image and the signing date at the bottom, which is what turns a data summary into something a school, a court or an employer will accept as a reference.
Yes, but only the unsigned version, and only for their own record.
A user opens My Impact from your organization's portal on their dashboard. They get the same certificate, populated with their own footprint, the Opportunities they took part in, the number of shifts they completed and the hours they logged, with your organization's branding on it. They can set a date range, customize which rows appear, and export.
What they cannot do is sign it or add a note. Those are administrator-only, deliberately, because a signature is a statement your organization is making about that person. If somebody asks for a signed reference, they have to come to you.
It is controlled by the View impact value permission on the admin role. If an administrator does not have it, the Impact Report entry simply does not appear in the Actions dropdown for them. Check the role in your admin settings if a colleague says they cannot find it.
Impact value is the equivalent dollar value that people create for your organization by contributing their time. It is calculated by multiplying the hourly impact value rate of a given Opportunity by the number of hours logged there.
That means the number is only as meaningful as the rates you set. Rates are per Opportunity role, so a specialist role can carry a higher rate than a general one.
The same panel is reachable from two places, so use whichever you are already in:
Inside the panel you can:
Yes, at two levels.
Per Opportunity, set the rate to 0. There is no separate on and off switch on an individual role, the rate is the switch. A role at 0 contributes nothing to the total, which is the right choice when a dollar figure would misrepresent the work.
Across the portal, the same panel has two toggles:
Turning the display off does not delete anything. The hours are still recorded and the rates are still stored, so you can turn it back on later.
Impact value is not confined to the certificate. It shows up as a column in your Database, in the reservations and hours reports, in Analytics, and on the leaderboard, where the metric adds up impact value in dollars across each profile's reservations. If a number on the certificate looks wrong, the cause is almost always a rate rather than the report.
