Communications setup decisions on Vome: domain and chatrooms

Setting up communications: the decisions to make first

Overview

Two things decide how your messages behave, and both are easier to settle before you send anything real. One is whether Vome sends as you or on your behalf. The other is which chatrooms exist without you creating them.

This page gathers the articles that settle those decisions. They live in the Setup Guide section of this knowledge base, and cover what to choose and why. The rest of this section covers how to do it.

1. What should I read before I send anything?

2. Why are those articles somewhere else?

An article in this knowledge base can only be filed in one section, so the Setup Guide holds them and this page links to them rather than repeating them. You will find them under For administrators, in the Setup Guide, stages 1 and 5.

3. What is in the rest of this section?

The how-to articles: sending email, templates and variables, mass messaging, chat settings, mentions, reactions and direct messages. Read the articles above first if you are setting up for the first time, then come back here.
