Overview

This is the short version of the Setup Guide: the four articles worth reading before you create anything, whatever else you plan to set up.

They explain what to choose and why. The module sections elsewhere in this knowledge base explain how to do it.

1. What should I read first?

• How is Vome structured? Five words carry the whole platform: organization, site, category, opportunity and shift. Read this one first, because every other screen makes sense once you have it.
• What should I prepare before I start building? The images and descriptions worth having to hand. Nothing here blocks you, and everything has a default.
• How do I build a journey from application to first shift? There is no journey screen in Vome. This is how a form, an automation, a sequence and an opportunity connect into one path, and which end to build from.
• How do I test the journey myself before launch? The last thing to do before you go live, and the step people skip.

2. How is the Setup Guide organized?

In seven stages, and you are in the first: Orientation, Recruit, Onboard, Operate, Engage, Manage and Test. Each stage covers the decisions behind one part of building your account, roughly in the order you will meet them.

3. Where do I go after that?

Each module section has its own short page of setup decisions, pointing back to the Setup Guide articles that matter there. Open the one for whatever you are building: Add Opportunity, Forms, Sequences, Schedule and Hour Tracking, Database, Recruitment workflow, Communications, Reports, Analytics, Sites, or Users and Access.
