The Opportunity Views metric on your Vome dashboard

What does the Opportunity Views metric represent?

Overview

Opportunity Views counts the views that your organization's opportunity pages received over the last 28 days.

It is a reach metric, so it tells you how many people looked at what you posted, not how many applied or signed up.

1. Where do I find it?

On your Dashboard, in the column of view metrics alongside Page Views and Attendees.

2. Why does it say Last 28 days?

Because it is a rolling 28 day window, not a total since you joined. It moves forward every day, so the number naturally rises and falls as your posts age.

Alongside the count you will see a small green or red arrow with a percentage. That compares the current 28 days against the previous 28 days, which is the quickest way to tell whether your reach is growing or slipping.

3. How is this different from Page Views?

They measure two different steps of the same journey:

  • Page Views: visits to your organization's main page.
  • Opportunity Views: visits to individual opportunity pages.

Reading them together is more useful than reading either alone. Healthy Page Views with low Opportunity Views usually means people are finding you but your opportunities are not compelling enough to open. The reverse usually means a shared opportunity link is doing the work and people are arriving at the opportunity directly.

4. Why is my number blank?

Because view metrics are not included on the free plan. The card still appears, but without a figure.

Followers is the one metric that always shows a number, on every plan.

5. Does a view mean somebody applied?

No, and this is worth keeping separate in your head. A view is only a visit to the page.

To see what people actually did after looking, use your reports and your recruitment workflow rather than this metric.
