Why Are My Emails Not Sending? Understanding Email Volume Limits

If you're experiencing issues with emails not sending from Vome, one possible reason is that you’ve reached your email provider’s daily sending limit. Email services like Gmail and Microsoft Outlook enforce limits on the number of emails or recipients you can reach per day. These limits help prevent spam and protect their platforms from abuse.

Below, we break down the common volume limits for different email providers and account types.

Gmail Sending Limits

Gmail imposes sending limits depending on the type of account you're using:

📧 Personal Gmail Accounts (@gmail.com)

  • Limit: Up to 500 emails per day

  • If you exceed this limit, you may be temporarily blocked from sending additional emails for up to 24 hours.

💼 Google Workspace (Paid Accounts)

  • Limit: Up to 2,000 emails per day

  • This is ideal for business use or sending larger volumes of emails through Vome.

Note: These limits count individual emails sent, not recipients. For example, sending one email to 10 recipients counts as 10 emails.

Microsoft Outlook & Microsoft 365 Limits

Microsoft also sets daily sending limits that vary by account type:

📬 Outlook.com (Free Personal Accounts)

  • Limit: Approximately 300 emails per day

  • Sending may be restricted if you exceed this volume.

🏢 Microsoft 365 (Business & Enterprise Plans)

  • Limit: Up to 10,000 recipients per day

  • Ideal for higher-volume email activity through Vome.

Tip: If you send one message to multiple recipients, each recipient counts toward your daily limit.

What Happens If I Hit the Limit?

If you go over your email provider’s sending limit:

  • You may receive an error message from Vome or your email provider.

  • Your email functionality may be temporarily paused (usually for 24 hours).

  • Emails scheduled through Vome may fail to send or be delayed.

How to Avoid Sending Limit Issues

Here are some tips to help stay within your provider's limits:

  • Monitor your daily email volume to avoid triggering blocks.

  • Spread out your sends throughout the day rather than sending them all at once.

  • Upgrade to a business or enterprise email account if your needs exceed personal account limits.

  • Use email groups or campaigns wisely, keeping an eye on how many recipients are included.
