How does the Double the Donation integration work on Vome?

The Double the Donation (DTD) integration helps your organization unlock corporate matching gifts directly through the volunteer registration and reservation experience on Vome.

When volunteers submit forms or reserve shifts, Vome allows users to enter their company name to automatically checks whether their employer offers a matching gift or volunteer grant program—so your organization can benefit from more donations without adding extra steps.

Where volunteers see it

The Double the Donation experience is available in two places on Vome:

  1. On Vome Forms – when the form includes a schedule or shift selection section, the DTD company search field will automatically appear after a volunteer selects their shift.

  2. During the Reserve Shifts Flow – when a logged-in volunteer reserves a shift directly through your site, the DTD prompt appears to let them identify their employer before completing the reservation.

In both cases, the process is simple: volunteers search for their employer, select it, and instantly see if their company offers matching gift or volunteer grant programs. When the same user returns to reserve shifts in the future, the company will be saved and pre-selected for them to use!

What volunteers experience

When the user reaches the scheduling step, they’ll see a “Find Your Company” field appear automatically.

They can start typing their company name (for example, “Air Canada” or “Microsoft”), and results from Double the Donation’s corporate database will appear in real time. Once they select their company, Vome displays any available matching-gift or volunteer-grant details directly within the registration flow.

How data appears in your DTD dashboard

When a volunteer reserves a shift from their portal (either through a form or reserve shifts workflow), it will automatically send that information to your DTD dashboard. Simply navigate to the Registrations tab to see your list of volunteer shift registrations!

How to enable Double the Donation on your Vome account

To activate this feature, your organization will need:

  • An active Double the Donation (DTD) account

  • Your organization’s public and private keys from DTD

Once those requirements are met, an admin can enable the integration within the Vome platform.

1. From the left-hand navigation bar, click Integrations & apps
2. Click Double the Donation
3. Click Start integration
4. Enter your private key, public key -> then Click Test connection
5. (Optional) Add a campaign name (this will add this to each registration from the DTD dashboard)
6. Click Activate integration
7. When you are ready to deploy this to users > click Activate integration
