Reservations counts the reservations made for shifts over the last 28 days.
It is the same measure as the Reservations figure in the Insights view of your Reservations & hours log report, so the two should agree for the same period.
On your Dashboard, in the column of 28 day metrics, below Page Views and Opportunity Views.
Reservations. This is the distinction that matters most on this card.
One reservation counts as one, whatever the size of the party behind it. Guests added to a group reservation are not counted here. A single group reservation bringing fifteen people still adds one to this number.
If what you want is the number of people, use the Attendees (+ Guests) measure in the Insights view instead. That one sums each reservation's party size, the lead plus their guests, and it is a genuinely different figure.
Because it is a rolling window rather than a total, covering shifts in the last 28 days and moving forward each day.
The arrow and percentage beside it compare that window against the 28 days before it, which is what tells you whether sign-ups are picking up or falling away.
Open Reports, then Reservations & hours log, then switch to the Insights view.
There you can break the same measure down by whichever dimension you care about, and pair it with Total reservations and % of total reservations. Insights offers a table layout and a chart layout, so you can read it either way.
Because this card is not included on the free plan. The label still shows, without a figure.
Usually one of two reasons, and both are expected:
For a headcount, use Attendees (+ Guests) in Insights. For a reservation count, this card is correct as it stands.
