I Reserved a Shift but Forgot to Log My Hours

I Reserved a Shift but Forgot to Log My Hours

Introduction

If you reserved a shift on Vome but forgot to log your hours because you did not check in or check out using the Attendance QR Code or the on-site Attendance Kiosk, don’t worry. You can still submit a request to have your hours reviewed and approved.

This article explains what happens in this situation and how to submit an hour claim.

Why Your Hours Were Not Logged

On Vome, hours are automatically recorded when you:

  • Check in by scanning the Attendance QR Code, or

  • Check in using the on-site Attendance Kiosk, and

  • Check out at the end of your shift using one of these methods

If you did not check in and check out, the system cannot automatically generate your worked hours. As a result, your shift will not show logged hours.

How to Claim Your Hours After the Shift

If your shift is over and no hours were logged, you can submit an hour claim directly in Vome.

Step 1: Go to Your Schedule

  • Log in to your Vome account

  • Navigate to your Schedule view

  • Find and select the completed shift

Step 2: Submit an Hour Claim

  • Click on the shift

  • Select the Claim Hours button

  • Enter the hours you worked

  • Submit your request

Your claim will be sent to the Shift Coordinator for review.

What Happens After You Submit a Claim

Once your claim is submitted:

  • Your attendee status will show Hour Claim Pending

  • The Shift Coordinator will review your request

  • If approved, your status will update to Hours Logged

This confirms that your hours have been officially recorded.

How to Avoid This in the Future

To ensure your hours are automatically recorded:

  • Always check in at the start of your shift using the Attendance QR Code or Attendance Kiosk

  • Always check out at the end of your shift

  • Confirm that your check-in and check-out were successfully registered

Following these steps helps ensure your time is accurately tracked and prevents delays in approval.
